Obviously many of the parents dont read the laws.

I took My son out on the youth season on Swan lake. We had a great time. I have a cabin on Swan lake so we made it a week end thing. Saturday was the only day that the youth season was open, and there were people on the lake again Sunday shooting at ducks. Whats with that? Obviously someone isnt reading the laws.

So kids, if your parent or mentor isnt reading the laws you need to.

i'm a kid and from experience i think it's more the parents fault because i know if my dad wants to shoot 10 mins early at a good group of ducks i'll tell him no and have them land in decoys. but a lot of kids just follow what their parents say like they've learned there whole lives so if the parents know the laws and teach their kids to follow there shouldnt be any problems i think everyone should carry a waterfowl book with them and know exactly when the times are i hate hearing people shoot early at ducks when i let them pass just following the law/rules of hunting.

dannysanch94-
As I tell my son, just because somebody kills more ducks than you doesn't make them the better duck hunter.

I don't do this but one of the funniest stories my dad told me about duck hunting back in the day was when they where set up down on Weaver bottoms along with a lot of other groups. I can't remember if it was a goose or duck that came in way before shooting time and one of the guys in his group dumps it in the moonlight with one shot. Somebody from the other side of the swamp yells over "What time is it? The reply was I don't know I can't see my watch Laughing Laughing

I don't condone it but to me that is funny.

Sorry to get off the subject a bit
