DNR sets 'Becoming An Outdoors Woman' workshop

The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources is offering women the opportunity to discover winter sports in a fun and supportive atmosphere.
The DNR will hold its annual Becoming an Outdoors Woman winter workshop next month.
The event runs Friday, Feb. 26, through Sunday, Feb. 28, at the Audubon Environmental Learning Center near Sandstone. The program is for women ages 14 and older.
Participants select three activities from a long list of classes including dog mushing, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, quillwork, archery, ice fishing and winter hiking. Lodging, meals, instruction, equipment and evening entertainment are all included in the workshop fee.
